CSOS was the first private company in the US to utilize laser cleaning technology for large scale conservation projets. We own a variety of laser systems and can laser clean a wide range of surfaces. CSOS set a world precedent by being the first company to laser clean an entire building in the US.
We continue to pioneer new applications for laser technology, such as removing coatings that were previously considered irreversible from monuments and safely removing graffiti paint from pictographs.

CSOS works with G.C. Laser Systems, Inc., which was founded by Bartosz A. Dajnowski to design and manufacture laser cleaning systems that meet the unique needs of large scale conservation projects. With multiple patents pending, the company started with a very successful game changing prototype, the GC-1, which was custom built for CSOS to laser clean the 3,500 year old Egyptian obelisk Cleopatra's Needle in New York's Central Park.
The GC-1 laser series features:
-1064 nm air cooled system
-No hot spots
-Efficient high speed scanning
-Compact and lightweight design
-Easily carried up a scaffold
-Uses a standard 110V outlet
-Unmatched range of parameters
-Variable power levels and fluence
-Variable pulse duration
-Variable scan speed
-Variable focal depth and spot size
